Body Detox -


Are you feeling sluggish and tired? It might be time for a body detox! Detoxing is a great way to cleanse your body from all of the nasty toxins, giving your body the break it needs to rejuvenate. I promise, it’s not as scary as it sounds and you’ll feel amazing afterwards!


A great way to detox your body is by eliminating processed foods, sugar, and alcohol from your diet. I get it… that can sound a bit intimidating considering that most of us consume at least one of those on a daily basis. But, don't let that scare you off right away! It can be a little easier by making substitutions for things we normally opt for. For example, instead of going to get Taco Bell for dinner, make a taco salad at home with whole, fresh ingredients. You can even make the seasoning yourself with the spices in your pantry! Incorporating as many fresh fruits, vegetables, and water into your daily routine as possible will aid in flushing out toxins and promote a healthy digestive system.


Don't forget to add some exercise into your detox plan as well. Whether it's yoga, running, lifting weights, or a simple walk in the park, moving your body will help increase blood flow and support the detoxification process. A body detox is not just about what you put into your body, but also about what you eliminate from it. You could even spend some time in the sauna if you really want to clear everything out. Just be sure to drink plenty of water!


If you want to take your detoxifying up a notch, there are a variety of supplements you can take to really clear out your system; everything from over-the-counter supplements at your local drug store or natural foods store, to the ones you can order online. It could be something as simple as apple cider vinegar gummies. Or maybe a little more aggressive, like multi-day cleanse supplements. If you go this route, I definitely recommend to follow a whole food based diet so that you can get the most out of your detox.


I’m going to get real with you for a minute - a huge part of doing a body detox is the mental factor. It can be extremely difficult to go against the grain of what we’re used to and furthermore, remain dedicated to it. Having the determination to get through it is half the battle. Along with keeping an optimistic outlook. Reiterate to yourself that you can do it and that it’s worth it, so that you will have a much easier time completing your body detox.
