Step right up folks! The best show is about to begin right here in the heart of Central Minnesota. The amazing Crow Wing County Fair will be in Brainerd from Tuesday, August 1, through Saturday, August 5. Brace yourselves as this year's fair promises to be an exhilarating ride filled with carnival thrills, mouthwatering fair food, show animals, talent shows that will blow you away and tons of live music to enjoy!
Hold on to your hats as you soar through the air on twisting, turning rides that are fun for all ages. Or perhaps dare your friends to a clash on the bumper cars. For those who would rather take in the scenery, get aboard the ferris wheel and rise to the stunning aerial views overlooking the fair. Be sure to save room for fair food like funnel cakes and cotton candy, because it's essential for the experience!
Make your way over to see the fluffy sheep and sassy chickens in the animal barns and visit the cows and pigs who are just too adorable to miss. And hey, maybe you will get the chance to see a goat who thinks it's a trapeze artist in a circus performance! The good times don’t stop there - stand in awe Friday afternoon by the talent show entertainers. Don’t worry if you miss a show, there are three!
Feel the rhythm yet? There’s even more entertainment at the Mills Stage for some live music. With an awesome arrangement of bands and musicians, you have music to enjoy all day long. It's free and near the south entrance so you can’t miss it! If you’re a fan of the country lifestyle, make your way over to the horse arena. There are events lined up all day, everyday. Watch skilled performers and their horses take on barrel racing or attend the events that the 4-H club showcases.
And now, the moment you have all been waiting for - the grandstand! Prepare for the Wojo's Rodeo on Tuesday, where cowboys and cowgirls take on the outrageous bulls and bucking broncos. Jam with country star Tracy Byrd and guest Dariann Leigh on Wednesday night. Or check out American Idol’s superstar Alex Miller and guest Ragtown on Thursday night. Friday and Saturday night is all about “go cars go”, the adrenaline-pumping Baja Rally Racing. Buckle up, hold on tight and watch racers take their hillbilly cars and trucks onto the challenging dirt track in competition for victory! Cheer on your favorites in the “best looking” event before the racing starts, to watch as the racers find girls to drive their vehicles and take on the girls-only Powder Puff race at the conclusion of the event. Now, bumping is legal - so be prepared to keep track of all the hits and rollovers!
